Emanating from sweaty basements and garages, a sound is ringing in ears all over Freiburg. Many insist that the noise is a public menace, and are concerned about the strange behaviour of birds eversince it began 5 years ago. Others think it is the call of Radiohead’s and the Arctic Monkeys’ new- born, illegitimate heir. The more fantastically minded believe it to be the sigh of a chimera reflecting on its confused emotional state. In fact, the real cause of the noise is a public menace, a sighing chimera, and a bastard child of the last decades’ greatest bands all at the same time…. a group of animals hardly understood by science: The Paraducks.
